The most valuable thing on your property is the foundation your house sits on. Foundation drainage is about keeping water and moisture swings away from your slab in a soil that swells when wet, shrinks when dry, and won’t drain on its own.
Slab foundations move when the moisture in the soil around them cycles between very wet and very dry. On the South Plains that cycle can be severe: a caliche-bound lot holds water against the foundation after a storm, then bakes bone-dry in the semi-arid heat. That swing — not water alone, but the change — is what stresses a slab. The defense is simple and code-backed: keep water from ponding against the house and keep the surrounding moisture as even as you can.
We install drainage that helps prevent moisture-driven movement. We are not a foundation repair company, and we won’t tell you a drain fixes cracks or a slab that’s already moved — that’s a structural engineer’s and foundation contractor’s call.
